Vanilla Chai Shake
1 sliced, frozen banana
3/4 cup almond milk (use a little less for an even thicker shake)
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/3 teaspoon fresh grated ginger
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1 pinch each of ground cardamom, cloves, and nutmeg
dash freshly ground pepper
Put all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth. Garnish with a sprinkle of cinnamon.
Note: as my husband pointed out, this is kind of like a mini shake... double the recipe for a medium size one!
I researched what the most common spices were in chai and combined all of them in this recipe. It is such a great way to enjoy a milkshake... and now I want another one!
